  • Holcomb & Hoke Mfg. Co. - folding partitions - phone disconnected and letter returned
  • Mahon Door - coiling doors - letter returned and phones disconnected
  • Mike Young Team - louvers and vents - decided to close business
  • Symons - concrete products - information is now within the Dayton Superior website
  • The National Paint and Coatings Association and the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology (NPCA/FSCT) have merged - new name is American Coatings Association
  • Traco was purchased and will become part of Alcoa Building and Construction Systems (BCS)

  • Jackson Corporation - exit hardware - acquired by CR Laurence

  • Terry Hinge & Hardware - acquired by Rockford Process Control
  • Zero-Loc Enterprises - apparently now part of Kingspan Insulated Panels

  • Chemical Lime - lime for masonry mortar and soil stabilization - name change to Lhoist North America
  • Commercial Block Systems - ICFs - website down, apparently purchased by Fox Blocks
  • DCO Lighting - part of Phillips - website merged into Day-Brite Lighting
  • Dur-O-Wal - purchased by Hohmann & Barnard from Dayton Superior
  • Hardcast is now Carlisle HVAC Products
  • Kaylien - commercial fiberglass doors - phone disconnected
  • Northstar Vinyl Products - website redirects to CMI Waterfront Solutions - apparently purchased

April 2010

  • Abbey Window Coverings brand (draperies) discontinued by Springs Window Fashions
  • Architectural Glazing Technologies - curtain wall and skylights - suspending new sales and closing out existing contracts
  • CenterCore Furniture purchased the assets of Centercore Group (furniture)
  • Correct Building Products and Correct Porch now part of GAF
  • Kemlite Company now known as Crane Composites
  • Kodiak Industries - gym equipment - Canada - website down and phone disconnected
  • Nexcel Synthetics and Nexcel Synthetic Surfaces - assets acquired by Integrated Turf Solutions - no longer involved with concrete fiber reinforcement
  • J.W. Peters - precast concrete - part of IPC Precast
  • TruStone America - e-crete - autoclaved concrete - phone disconnected
  • Weyerhauser sold their commercial Trus-Joist/iLevel business to Atlas with the new trade name Redbuilt - Weyerhauser retains single family construction and Redbuilt is multifamily through commercial.

  • Ceilcote - we had them listed as SGL ACOTEC - now part of International Protective Coatings
  • Kerr Lighting and Snap Edge Corporation are now SEK Corporation
  • Patent Construction Systems - concrete formwork - to become Harsco Infrastructure
  • PolyVision (a Steelcase company) - exited all products except for interactive whiteboards.
  • Superior Metal Trim - ceased operations
  • Surewall Products - EIFS - merged products into Parex
  • Vistawall Architectural Products - had been purchased by Oldcastle Glass, website now merged into Oldcastle Glass
  • Zeledyne “Versalux” has withdrawn from the commercial glass industry and is now focusing only on automotive glass operations.

February 2010

  • City Wire Cloth - now part of Gerard Daniel Worldwide
  • ICI Paints is now Glidden Professional
  • Payne Fence Products – became part of the Betafence group of companies in 2008, company name change to Betafence USA in 2010.
  • Senior Technologies and Xmark combined into Stanley Healthcare Solutions
  • Wallach Glass Studio now Amri Studio

January 2010

  • American Spaceframe Fabricators - ceasing operations
  • Blanton & Moore - apparently now part of Jasper Library Service
  • Coyne & Delany Co. - name change to Delany Products - plumbing valves
  • Heritage Window and Door - closing their doors
  • Holcomb & Hoke went out of business in February 2009. In April 2009, Panelfold, Inc. acquired, at public auction, the Foldoor Accordion product line, trade name, and website.
  • Hospitality Sign Company - name change to HotelSigns.com
  • New World West - storefronts and curtain walls - closed business
  • Smith and Hawken - apparently purchased by Target Stores
