December 2005 Newsletter

Really Great Product Websites?

This is the fifth part of our series on Marketing in the Future to architects, engineers and specifiers.

The title of this month's newsletter comes from the 4specs discussion forum where our users have provided their thoughts. As it was a timely discussion for this newsletter, I am including a link here:

For the next six months or so we will be looking at some of the key design issues for sites. Think of your site design as having two primary purposes:

1. Help the specifier and production architects include your products in their specification by providing all your design and product information in an easy to find, easy to use way.

2. To get as many users from search engines. You may recall an earlier newsletter

When you are thinking of a redesign of your site keep both of these factors in mind. Future newsletters will cover other design aspects and suggestions for improving both factors.
