Google AnalyticsGoogle offers free website stats - after registering with Google, all you need to do is to add some javascript to the bottom of each page. As a minimum you can add it just to the home page. Here are a few of the reports I ran on 4specs for October 2006. Main Page - an overview of your website, including pages, users, location of user and how the users got to your site. Referring Source - how did the visitor get to your site? April 2007, just the 4specs home page. Can be set to show the Bounce Rate - this shows how many people left from that page - gives you indications of problem pages where people are leaving Depth of Visit - shows the number of pages viewed by each user Exit Pages - shows the last page visited by the user. /outbound/ is was a link to an outside website. Visitor Loyalty - shows the number of visits by each user Length of Visit - shows the time spent by visitors on your site Resolution of User Browser - this shows the resolution of the users browser. This will enable you to design your site so every one can use it properly. This is just one of the web design parameters. This report shows that 91% of the users are using a 1024x768 resolution or higher. This represents a 15" flat screen LCD or a 17" CRT monitor - or larger.
